Dynamic Curriculum

Choosing the RIGHT START for your child is a big decision. As parents there are a lot of factors that go into choosing your child’s first home away from home. At La Vida we encourage you to ask questions, take a tour of the school and to get to know us.

We follow Montessori philosophy along with a blend of the best international practices. The curriculum is holistic, child-centred, inquiry and play based. It covers seven interconnected areas of learning and development. The three Key Developmental Areas are particularly crucial for igniting children’s curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, build their capacity to learn, form relationships and thrive. The curriculum provides freedom to explore, discover and learn through play.

Voila! Moments

Books and stories – singing – music appreciation – dance- creative art – crafts -poetry – “let’s pretend” – games – cooking – creative play (clay/water/paint) – adventure play equipment – nature table – educational & leisure outings etc. are the Voila !moments for our young learners. These activities also enable children to keep their curricular work and learning in perspective. We ensure that our students experience the Voila! Moments every day

Celebrations

Each day at school is a ‘Celebration of Life’, and at festivals and special occasions it gets bigger and more exciting. We celebrate Holi, Diwali, Rakshabandhan, Eid, Christmas, Guruparv, and other special occasions like Independence day, Mothers day, Fathers Day, Grandparents Day with joy, enthusiasm and in their true spirit. Through these celebrations we connect our children to our culture and make them appreciate our rich diversity. We celebrate birthdays of children with gusto that makes them feel special and loved.

Field Trips

Theme and age appropriate field trips like visit to a Fire station, Nursery, Post Office,Farm etc and leisure trips form an important part of educational experience. Such trips help to make children independent, learn personal and social skills and become emotionally strong. Such interactions with the real environment enable children to connect and apply their learning in the real world.

Eureka! Moments

We want our children to have a scientific temperament, be the logical thinkers, sensitive and aware of their role and responsibility towards nature. Going out for a Nature walk, feeling and talk about weather, watching of birds, sky, clouds, observing plants, animals, insects, plantation, discovering simple science facts through observation and experiments are the eureka moments for our young learners.
